Welcome

In my artistic process, I draw inspiration from the elements of warp and weft found in the art of linen weaving. Just as the warp and weft threads intersect and create a cohesive fabric, I intertwine vertical and horizontal brushstrokes in my paintings.

The vertical brushstrokes mirror the upward growth of trees, the towering presence of buildings, or mountains. They evoke a sense of strength, aspiration, and stability. These strokes capture the essence of towering cityscapes or the majesty of nature's vertical elements.

Conversely, the horizontal brushstrokes represent the serene expanse of open landscapes, the calmness of lakes or oceans, and the gentle rhythm of rolling hills. They invite viewers to immerse themselves in the vastness of nature, creating a sense of tranquility and connection.

By combining these brushstrokes, I strive to create a visual tapestry that harmoniously blends the urban and natural worlds. The interplay of vertical and horizontal strokes embodies the complex relationship between human presence and the timeless beauty of the natural environment.

Just as the warp and weft threads interact to form a strong fabric, the integration of vertical and horizontal brushstrokes in my paintings symbolizes the interdependence and interconnectedness of these seemingly contrasting elements. It reminds us that we are all part of a greater whole and encourages contemplation on the balance between human progress and the preservation of the environment.

Through these artistic choices, I aim to provoke reflection, spark conversations, and inspire viewers to appreciate the intricate tapestry of life, where the warp and weft of our experiences intertwine with the vertical and horizontal forces that shape our world.
